Danan Enterprises Inc. (“Danan Enterprises,” “we,” “us” or “our”) is a Florida corporation located at 207 Vine Ave., Clearwater, Florida 33755. We decide how the personal information described in this policy is used, which makes us its “controller” or “business” under privacy laws that use those terms. eCom Triage is a trade name of Danan Enterprises Inc., not a separate company.
This policy covers dananenterprises.com (the “Site”) and the messages you send us through it or in reply to us. It explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have.
It does not cover the websites, products or services of the companies shown on our home page, including companies we have invested in but do not control. Each of them has its own website and its own privacy policy, and that policy governs what happens there.
Please do not send us sensitive information (for example health, financial account or government identification details) or confidential business information through the Site. Our Terms of Use explain how we treat business pitches and other submissions.
If someone introduces you to us, such as one of our companies, an adviser or a mutual contact, we may receive your name, contact details and the reason for the introduction. If you tell us about a business, we may review public information about it, such as its website, filings and press coverage.
The Site has no user accounts and takes no payments. We do not use advertising pixels or cross-site tracking tools, we do not record your session, and we do not collect your precise location. We do not ask for sensitive personal information.
We use personal information only for the purposes below. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the table also shows the legal basis we rely on.
| Purpose | Information used | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Reply to your message and follow up on it | Contact details, message, emails | Our legitimate interest in answering inquiries, or steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract |
| Evaluate a business, partnership, acquisition, investment or introduction you propose | Contact details, message, information you share, public business information | Legitimate interests, or steps before a contract |
| Introduce you to one of our companies when you ask us to | Contact details and your message | Your consent, or our legitimate interest in helping you |
| Keep the Site secure and stop spam, fraud and abuse | Form security data, logs, reCAPTCHA data | Legitimate interests |
| Understand how many people use the Site, in total | Visitor statistics | Legitimate interests |
| Meet legal obligations, enforce our terms, and establish or defend legal claims | Any of the above, as needed | Legal obligation, or legitimate interests |
| Carry out a merger, acquisition, financing or sale involving our business | Any of the above, as needed | Legitimate interests |
We do not use your information for decisions made solely by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects on you, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards suited to the information we hold. The Site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). It runs on managed hosting with security monitoring, sits behind Cloudflare’s attack protection, and limits login attempts and enforces strong passwords for administrator accounts. Access to messages is limited to the people who need it to do their jobs.
No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law, including the Florida Information Protection Act.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to give you a copy, to correct it, or to delete it. Some laws, described below, give you additional rights. We will not discriminate against you for using any of them.
You have the right to access, correct and erase your personal information, to restrict or object to our use of it (including use based on our legitimate interests), to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority, although we would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and other states with consumer privacy laws may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, and to access, correct, delete and obtain a portable copy of it. Some of these laws also give you the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising and certain profiling; we do none of those. Depending on our size, some of these laws may not apply to us, but we honor these requests from all visitors anyway.
California notice at collection. In the past twelve months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (such as your name, email address, phone number and IP address); internet or other electronic network activity (such as your interactions with the Site); approximate location derived from your IP address (country); and professional or commercial information you choose to include in your message. We collect them from you, from your device, and from the people who introduce you to us, for the purposes in Section 3, and we disclose them for business purposes only to the recipients in Section 4. We do not collect or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. We do not sell or share personal information, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of anyone under 16. We keep information for the periods in Section 6. California residents may also ask whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing; we do not.
Email us at the address in Section 13 with the subject line “Privacy request”, or write to us at the postal address there. Tell us what you are asking for and how to reach you. To protect you, we will confirm your identity before acting, usually by checking that the request comes from the email address we have on file, and we may ask for a little more information if needed. You may use an authorized agent; we will ask the agent for your signed permission and may ask you to confirm your identity with us directly.
We respond within the time the law allows: generally one month in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom, and 45 days in the United States, extendable where the law permits. If we cannot fully meet your request, we will tell you why.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line “Privacy appeal.” We will respond in writing within the time required by the law that applies to you, usually 45 or 60 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.
We are based in the United States, and the Site and our providers process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy laws there may differ from those where you live. Where the law requires it, we rely on recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or our providers’ certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions.
The Site is meant for business audiences and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
The Site links to other websites, including those of the companies in our portfolio, YouTube and Amazon. We are not responsible for how those websites handle your information. Please read their privacy policies before you share anything with them.
We may update this policy when our practices, our providers or the law change. We will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date, and if a change is significant we will also say so at the top of this page for a reasonable time. Changes apply from the date they are posted.
